Transmodern Age: Otherworldly Adornment is a gathering of some of the most inspired and inspiring artists in Baltimore and beyond each who will be presenting a short performance piece centered around unique, self-made, personal adornments, props and visual aids created exclusively for the event. Performances will be accompanied by original, live music performed by some of Baltimore’s most exciting local musicians.

The performances will include a range of conceptual ideas, eccentric actions and boundary-pushing behavior including the use of unique textiles, monkey bars, analog recording equipment as clothing, foot-operated midi-controlled video, slide projection, tea ceremony rituals and much, much more. This event promises to be one of the creative highlights of Baltimore in 2003 providing a never-before seen feast for the ears, eyes and psyche.

“Transmodern Age: Otherworldly Adornment is the bombastic crescendo of two long-range goals I’ve always been working towards as an organizer of cultural events in Baltimore: a) The inclusion and celebration of women in experimental culture b) The integration of visual mediums and performance in live experimental cultural events.” -- Catherine Pancake
